Museo diffuso “Alta Via del Tabacco” Valbrenta
Il mio interesse per il sito nasce dall’incontro fortuito di una serie di elementi.
Primo fra tutti il fatto di aver letto un libro, “L’ Anima della Frontiera” di Matteo Righetto edito da Mondadori (€ 18,00), che ho letto in un sol fiato per il modo in cui è scritto e perché mi ci sono ritrovata bene dentro.
Quindi per la mia grande passione, la montagna, che ho scoperto solo crescendo e maturando, senza la quale ora non avrebbe senso molto di ciò di cui mi occupo. Senza il respiro che periodicamente mi dà, non potrei affrontare serenamente quella che è la mia vita quotidiana.
Ed infine probabilmente un richiamo atavico, visto che sono un po’ anche le mie zone di origine.
Il sito, facile da consultare, intuitivo ed agevole, offre una panoramica chiara ed ampia su tutto il territorio.
Troviamo informazioni di carattere storico e culturale e sui luoghi in cui alloggiare.
Molte le iniziative di carattere sportivo, legate al fiume Brenta come percorsi in canoa, hydrospeed e rafting per tutti i gusti, easy, family, adventure, extreme.

Il sentiero, impegnativo per i tempi di percorrenza, può essere suddiviso in tre parti:
Costa a Valstagna
Valstagna a Campolongo
Campolongo a Bassano
Viene comunemente definito “Museo diffuso Alta Via del Tabacco”.
Gli insediamenti e i terrazzamenti, costruiti ad Alta Quota, svolgevano infatti un’importante funzione di unione sociale fra gli abitanti del luogo, che svolgevano il duro lavoro di coltivazione del tabacco.
Proprio tali colture consentirono una rivoluzione per l’economia del luogo che nel corso della prima metà del ‘600 ne trasse vantaggio.
Della plurisecolare produzione oggi ne rimane solo il ricordo legato ai terrazzamenti sostenuti dai muri a secco che gli abitanti del luogo chiamano “masiere”. Tali costruzioni che si innalzano a circa 500 metri sul Brenta, furono costruite a mano sui pendii, con la speranza che fossero di aiuto e sostentamento per gli abitanti della Val di Brenta.
