Che scrivere sia sempre stato il mio pallino è cosa nota, soprattutto a chi ha la “fortuna” di conoscermi bene…
Fin da piccola carta, penna e colori sono stati il mio passatempo preferito. Poi è arrivata l’età della scolarizzazione e nuovi strumenti hanno iniziato a colpire la mia curiosità.
Sicuramente la macchina da scrivere è stato il primo fra gli oggetti destinati alla scrittura, a catturare il mio interesse. Ricordo ancora il giorno in cui la vidi per la prima volta.
Era lì, bella, color verde acqua e ovviamente “off limits” per una bambina…
Ma le cose non andarono esattamente così e tutto ebbe inizio.
Per questa ragione, volendo un po’ romantica e sentimentale, non potevo farmi sfuggire l’occasione di segnalare una chicca
Il Museo delle macchine da scrivere
Nato nel 2006 nel quartiere Isola di Milano, grazie alla passione di un collezionista, Umberto Di Donato, il Museo delle macchine da scrivere conta oggi circa 1800 pezzi, alcuni dei quali molto antichi o appartenuti a personaggi importanti, come Francesco Cossiga per menzionarne uno.
Oltre a quelle da scrivere sono esposte anche macchine da calcolo e altri strumenti connessi all’argomento.
Il Museo offre la possibilità di sperimentare l’utilizzo di buona parte delle macchine esposte.
Una caratteristica questa del Museo delle Macchine da scrivere, che lo differenzia rispetto ai tradizionali musei, rendendolo un luogo fuori dal comune.
Umberto Di Donato ha dato inoltre vita ad un’associazione culturale molto attiva che organizza mostre itineranti in Italia e all’estero e diversi corsi fra cui dattilografia o scrittura cuneiforme per citarne uno.
L’associazione dà la possibilità a chi lo desiderasse, di usufruire degli spazi del museo per organizzare attività di vario genere. Un modo utile e intelligente per far conoscere l’operato di Umberto Di Donato e il museo stesso.
È possibile, volendo iscriversi all’associazione, versando un contributo che consente di usufruire di alcuni vantaggi.
Perché andare a far visita al Museo della Macchina da Scrivere?
Sicuramente perché è un momento Armarcord per chi ha già vissuto l’esperienza “macchina da scrivere” in passato. Essa rappresenta inoltre un progenitore del PC o perlomeno della sua tastiera, e quindi perché non investigare…
E poi il Museo della Macchina da Scrivere ha la fortuna di trovarsi in uno dei quartieri più belli e culturalmente attivi della moderna Milano…
